Can dogs eat lettuce?
Yes — crunchy water, basically.
Why
Lettuce is about 95% water with a little fibre. It's a harmless low-calorie crunch, though not nutritionally exciting. Romaine and iceberg are fine; skip dressings.
How to serve it
Wash, tear into pieces.

Loose stools if a dog eats a whole head.
How much lettuce for my dog?
A daily maximum for a healthy adult dog, kept inside the 10% treat rule. Enter body weight.
Up to 30 g a day — roughly 2 tablespoons (a small handful) · washed, torn.
Treats of all kinds should stay under about 10% of daily calories. Puppies, kittens, seniors and pets with a medical condition: ask your vet first.
