Can dogs eat cauliflower?
Yes, cooked, in small amounts — it causes gas.
Why
Cauliflower is low in calories and has fibre and vitamins C and K. Raw it's hard to digest; cooked it's fine but famously gassy.
How to serve it
Steam, chop, no seasoning. A few small florets.
If they eat too much
Gas, bloating, loose stools if a lot is eaten.
How much cauliflower for my dog?
A daily maximum for a healthy adult dog, kept inside the 10% treat rule. Enter body weight.
Up to 23 g a day — roughly 2 tablespoons (a small handful) · steamed, chopped.
Treats of all kinds should stay under about 10% of daily calories. Puppies, kittens, seniors and pets with a medical condition: ask your vet first.
