Can dogs eat rice?
Yes — plain cooked rice is the classic upset-stomach food.

Why
White rice is bland, binding and easy to digest, which is why vets suggest boiled rice and chicken during a bout of diarrhoea. Brown rice has more fibre and nutrients for healthy dogs. Plain means no salt, oil, onion or garlic.
How to serve it
Boil in water, cool, serve plain or mixed with lean boiled chicken. Return to normal food within a few days.
If they eat too much
Constipation or weight gain if fed as a large part of the diet long-term.
