Can dogs eat quinoa?
Cooked quinoa in small amounts.

Why
Quinoa is a complete protein and appears in some premium dog foods. Its natural saponin coating can irritate some stomachs, so rinse well before cooking.
How to serve it
Rinse, boil in water, cool, mix a spoonful into food.
If they eat too much
Vomiting or diarrhoea in sensitive dogs.
How much quinoa for my dog?
A daily maximum for a healthy adult dog, kept inside the 10% treat rule. Enter body weight.
Up to 30 g a day — roughly 2 tablespoons (a small handful) · rinsed, cooked plain.
Treats of all kinds should stay under about 10% of daily calories. Puppies, kittens, seniors and pets with a medical condition: ask your vet first.
