Can dogs eat oatmeal?
Yes — plain cooked oats are a good fibre source.

Why
Oatmeal is gentle on the stomach, high in soluble fibre and often recommended for dogs with wheat sensitivity. Cook it in water, not milk, and skip sugar, raisins and flavoured packets.
How to serve it
Cook plain oats in water, cool, serve a spoonful or mix into food.
If they eat too much
Loose stools if too much is given at once.
How much oatmeal for my dog?
A daily maximum for a healthy adult dog, kept inside the 10% treat rule. Enter body weight.
Up to 30 g a day — roughly 2 tablespoons (a small handful) · cooked in water, plain.
Treats of all kinds should stay under about 10% of daily calories. Puppies, kittens, seniors and pets with a medical condition: ask your vet first.
