Can dogs eat goat's milk?
Easier to digest than cow's milk, in small amounts.
Why
Goat's milk has slightly less lactose and smaller fat globules, so many dogs tolerate it better. Raw goat's milk carries bacterial risk; pasteurised is safer.
How to serve it
A few tablespoons of pasteurised goat's milk, occasionally.
If they eat too much
Diarrhoea in lactose-sensitive dogs.
How much goat's milk for my dog?
A daily maximum for a healthy adult dog, kept inside the 10% treat rule. Enter body weight.
Up to 30 g a day — roughly 2 tablespoons (a small handful) · pasteurised, small amount.
Treats of all kinds should stay under about 10% of daily calories. Puppies, kittens, seniors and pets with a medical condition: ask your vet first.
