Can cats eat blueberries?
Yes, a few — some cats even enjoy batting them first.
Why
Blueberries are non-toxic to cats and low in sugar compared with other fruit. They won't replace anything nutritionally, but as an occasional novelty they're fine.
How to serve it
Two or three berries, rinsed. Cut in half for kittens or small cats.
If they eat too much
Mild stomach upset if many are eaten.
How much blueberries for my cat?
A daily maximum for a healthy adult cat, kept inside the 10% treat rule. Enter body weight.
Up to 2 g a day — a pea-sized piece · rinsed, halved for small cats.
Treats of all kinds should stay under about 10% of daily calories. Puppies, kittens, seniors and pets with a medical condition: ask your vet first.
