Can cats eat kale?
Skip — can cause anaemia in cats.
Why
Kale and other brassicas in quantity can cause Heinz body anaemia in cats; there's no reason to feed it.
What to do instead
Skip.
Symptoms to watch for
Lethargy, pale gums with regular feeding.
If your cat has eaten kale, don't wait for symptoms.
Call your vet, or in the US the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (888-426-4435) or Pet Poison Helpline (855-764-7661), 24 hours a day. Have the amount, the time and any packaging ready.
