Can cats eat chocolate?
No. Cats are just as sensitive, they're simply less interested.

Theobromine and caffeine poisoning; cats rarely seek chocolate but will lick chocolate milk or ice cream.
What to do instead
Never.
Symptoms to watch for
Vomiting, restlessness, fast heart rate, tremors. Vet immediately.
If your cat has eaten chocolate, don't wait for symptoms.
Call your vet, or in the US the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (888-426-4435) or Pet Poison Helpline (855-764-7661), 24 hours a day. Have the amount, the time and any packaging ready.
