How it works for your Canaan Dog

Upload 1–5 photos of your Canaan Dog — clear face shots work best.

We map their identity: exact coat colors, markings, ear set and eye color.

Your chosen styles are painted and likeness-checked against the photos, then delivered in hours.

Canaan Dog portrait questions

Will the portrait really look like my Canaan Dog?

We treat likeness as the whole job. Before painting, we record what makes your Canaan Dog specific — coat texture, white with patches, solid gold, black markings, head shape — and afterwards every take is scored against your photo. Anything that reads as "some Canaan Dog" instead of yours gets painted again before you see it.

My Canaan Dog has unusual markings — can you keep them?

They stay. A dog descended from desert survivors carries an explorer's resilience worth honoring. Because the passport is written before any painting happens, asymmetric markings survive the stylisation instead of being tidied away into a "typical" Canaan Dog.

Which photos work best for a Canaan Dog portrait?

Shoot at their eye level in daylight and skip the flash. A short to medium, double coat coat needs directional light or it flattens out. If your Canaan Dog will not hold still, a burst of photos and picking the sharpest works fine.

Which styles suit a Canaan Dog best?

Any style works, though character matters. A Canaan Dog tends to be alert, loyal, so the three recommended above tend to land best — the scene supports the dog rather than competing with them.
